Responsible Service of Alcohol Policy
Wodonga Show Society Inc is committed to conduct all aspects of alcohol service in a professional and responsible manner, comply with all applicable laws and adhere to endorsed Liquor Service Codes of Practice.
The Committee and volunteer staff are to be aware of and adhere to all the rules and regulations applicable to responsible service of alcohol in each State.
Wodonga Show Society Inc endeavours to provide a safe and friendly environment in which all patrons can socialise and enjoy themselves within a designated area.
Wodonga Show Society Inc does not sanction or approve of any promotions that may encourage the rapid or excessive consumption of alcohol in any of its venues or activities. Volunteer and employees are required to encourage and promote responsible consumption of alcohol.
Wodonga Show Society Inc acknowledge that drunkenness, under-age drinking and alcoholism are serious social issues and therefore supports initiatives that assist in addressing and preventing these issues.
Venue staff endeavour to prevent underage drinking in our venues by requiring valid proof of age evidence from young adults to be presented in the form of an Australian drivers licence, passport or other proof of age card permitted under applicable State law.
Wodonga Show Society Inc will continue to provide employee education and customer awareness programs on the Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Committee members of the Wodonga Show Society Inc hold current Responsible Serving of Alcohol certificates and are on duty throughout the duration of the events.
